Scott Townsend is an artist,
designer, writer and professor in the College of Design at North Carolina State
University, USA. His research focuses on the
intersection between the individual and the community; of issues of personal
identity and history, and the use of narrative and imagery. He has created and collaborated on
interactive, audience-based projects in border sites globally. Recent published
writing has appeared in Design and Culture, Design Philosophy Papers, Design
Issues, and Visual Communication. He is currently an associate editor for Design
and Culture.
