Abstract
In this essay I would like to investigate the relation between love as transformative power and it’s conflict nature, which is most visible in the idea, that we can’t build our self outside engaged relationships (like love), but specially love relationship can turn into a form of submission and therefore loss of our self. That’s why the concept of love as engaged relationship needs an ethical limitation which can be built best on the Levinas’ ethical concept of respect toward the face of the other and political concept of proper recognition. Because in the relationship of mutual respectful recognition we can never totally understand the other person; and because we should accept the other person in her unlimited formation and passage from two separate self’s to the instance of “us”, imagination is the necessary part of love. To separate productive forms of imagination from a selfish phantasm, I propose two mechanisms: a demand to give a voice to the other, and to accept respect as a precondition of fruitful human relationship. First demand was materialized in the pedagogy of listening, and second in the inductive educational approach. Both demands can be used also in the theory and practice of engaged critical public communication, so at the end of this essay I show two examples of good practices of public communication, where proposed demands were considered.

Robi hvala za čudovit esej. Z njegovo pomočjo lahko veliko jasneje gledamo in razumemo tudi vizualna dela, ki so prispela na festival. Po mojem mnenju esej pokaže na nekatere ključne povezave med ljubeznijo, konfliktom in imaginacijo. Glede na to, da gre za kompleksna filozofska in etična vprašanja pa je prednost eseja tudi v tem, da je napisano dostopno različnim bralcem.
Bojana, hvala za komentar. Škoda pa je, da se dotika zgolj formalnega vidika eseja. Memefest na srečo ni toga akademska /znanstvena revija. Predvsem poskušamo odpirat dialog in prostor za dialog.
Kar pogrešam je komentar k vsebini, predvsem pa iztočnice za nadaljnji dialog s tekstom in z avtorjem znotraj Memefestove skupnosti. Zato bi te prosil, da dodaš še vsebinski vidik.

V prvem delu članka avtor analizira vidike relacijskega pojmovanja ljubezni, ki pojmuje ljubezen kot odnos in transformativno moč. Pokaže na nekatere filozofske in zgodovinske vidike pojmovanja ljubezni, še posebej na vlogo in mesto drugega v ljubezni. Potem se posveti konfliktni dimenziji ljubezni, še posebej aktivni vpletenosti in zainteresiranosti ljubezenskega odnosa. V drugem delu članka avtor predstavi nekatere primere induktivne vzgoje, ki naj bi vključevala nekatere prvine, ki so značilne za ljubezen – med njimi predvsem imaginacijo in transformativno moč, oziroma aktivno vletenost drugega v razmerje.
View other works commented by Bojana Kunst ››Žal je med prvim in drugim delom teksta premalo povezav, da bi v celotnem eseju prepoznala jasno sledenje temi oziroma zgodbo, ki ji avtor sledi. Drugi, bolj aplikativni del, bi moral biti bolj umeščen v razmišljanje o ljubezni v prvem delu, zdi pa se kot da je tekst sestavljen iz nekega širšega uvodnega dela, ki mu potem izpeljava ne sledi, oziroma se posveča le nekemu segmentu problemov. Mogoče je tudi, da prvi del razmišljanje o ljubezni preširoko zastavi, bolje bi bilo se potem osredotočiti le na tisto, kar je izpostavljeno v drugem delu: mesto drugega, kako drugi v odnosu dobi jezik, kako je ta pozornost na drugega transformativna ipd.
