visual communication practice
Description of idea
Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the
festival outlines:
Use acrylic paints on consumer waste. These were done on 4 swimming floats being thrown away by a "health spa" in a large hotel where I am at the moment. Went to ask for one more to complete the series and was told that they didn't have any but were going to order some!!
In public, weather permitting.
What kind of communication approach do you use?
Verbal on visual.
What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of
your communication?
Using waste materials to highlight how "clever/slick" advertising has people buying things and then throwing them away even if there is nothing wrong with it?them. The detrimental effect this has on the natural environment. Plus showing different possibilities.
What did you personally learn from creating your submitted
work?
How much I have been made aware of how we could create a world of abundance if we use science, technology and nature to benefit us all if we would only get rid of the money system that is now counter productive to our survival.
Why is your work, GOOD communication
WORK?
Powerful images with words.
Where and how do you intent do implement your
work?
In public as usual.
Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe
the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change
other media with your work-
how?)
Have no idea as recently completed.
