In this short curated series that i'll call Blogging TV, we will have a look at some of the previous moving images Memefest submissions now all published at MEMETV. Here is the first one:

Empire is a 1 minute long video sequence of still webcam images of the \"Europa Center\" - Berlin - downloaded from the web and re-processed in Italy. Audio track is a sonic montage of fields recordings from public records archives, issued on line under Creative Commons licenses, and a \"cut-up\" from several movies.
A technological - disciplinary gaze on the un-humanity of urban landscape against which stands the multitude of lives, voices and desires. In this perspective Berlin is a sort of paradigm-city of a new global model crossed by conflicts and contradictions.
The critical re-use of rough materials from the \"mediascape\" against dominant representational practices is a possible answer to our condition.

Open blog is a collective blog agregator.  Posts that can be read and viewed here have been originally posted by members of the Memefest community.

While members of the community  are able to check blog posts from the circle of their comrades within the on-line profile, this is the place where you are able to check on everything that has been bloged by anyone on this platform. The toppics and styles are diverse as this community consists of people from very different cultural, social backgrounds and also very different fields of expertice. Together- and through time- we hope – this gives us a good picture of radical communication culture.
