The main goal of this workshop is to connect different profiles of artists and other sciences proffesionals and students from all over the Europe (depending on a year's topic), so that they can live and work on many traditional technics together in forest camp. Through experience of a totally different environment and cultutal differences we can all learn how to think like ourselves in purest sense. We are also encouraging each participant to explore his creativity in his own and also other technics he might never experienced before. Vajkard is a project where we dont't use conventional metods of education, we try to think non-commercally, it is a mind and environment ecology matter, that we are trying to develope. We are exposing an example with the work of polihistorical personality of Janez Vajkard Valvasor who has made the first detailed description of a natural phenomenon Cerknica Lake, which is very near to where the workshop is taking place, for this work he recieved a honorable membership from royal society in London. Well, we are exploring and drawing, writing it in our own ways...

How does project benefit the client (if there is a client)?
Usually there is no client.

How does project benefit the people you are speaking to with your communication?
They can get some different visual experience and are involved in a little bit different visual communication they are used to. It depends from each year's topic we're working on.

How does project benefit the wider society?
I hope they enjoy watching.

How did/does this project benefit author (authors/makers of the project)?
It is a good intention non-profit project.

Tell us something about your view on communication. What is your / your organisation's / initiative's (visual) communication philosophy?
Sharing, being together can leave traces, can evolve growth, can make some new understanding of eachother, it can also produce something new. Especially if you still have so much to learn. Tell the world that there is something more in individual than it seems on a first sight.

What about the process of creating this work? Please describe it.
It began with a travelling through Romania which ended with an imaginary workshop. There were 6 of artists from Slovenia, visiting another from Romania, all from quite different spheres, trying to absorb the differences of the landscape, culture and people, exploring the Romania, me (Martin) and Zdravko came up with the idea to make a reflection of this in our land. It turned up, that artist's were very happy to respond. That's how it begun, now it's a very long story allready,....

Anything else you would like to say about this work?
Important part of the workshop is exploring of natural, cultural and visual valuables of our environment, and in the same time we are dedicated to develope and individual expressions of each participant.
