About gallery

Each year, Memefest singles out a text and/or image that serves as a focal point for a critical take on the current media environment. Participants in the friendly competition create their works as a response to this festival outlines. Works that are submitted range from photography and graphic design to experimental public art interventions, from academic articles to short stories.

Several hundred works are in our gallery. Radical communication from more than sixty countries. To get the whole picture you should check the works together with each years outlines. Have a look at the idea description that the authors provided. Think also about the cultural and social context of the country where a specific work was created.

Enjoy the galleries. If you feedback on the works with your comment, you will help the debate and generate common knowledge. That's good work too.
