visual communication practice
Description of idea
Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the
festival outlines:
In some chicken hatcheries, eggs are injected with certain types of antibiotics as a method to prevent infections. When humans consume these eggs, their bodies eventually become resistant to the same antibiotics.
Therefore these chicken eggs have a hidden "surprise" inside of them (just like the chocolate egg 'Kinder Surprise' that has a toy inside it).
What kind of communication approach do you use?
Posters.
What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of
your communication?
Become more aware of the issue and take actions (be aware of the food source, find alternatives, boycott..).
What did you personally learn from creating your submitted
work?
I learnt how in some hatcheries eggs are being injected with certain types of antibiotic which leads human bodies to resist those medicines.
Why is your work, GOOD communication
WORK?
The image is striking and the contradiction between the "serious" and "fun" elements have an impact on the viewer.
Where and how do you intent do implement your
work?
Posters on campus and in public places (shopping malls, on the street..).
Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe
the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change
other media with your work-
how?)
Have not yet been implemented.
