Memefest 2014 Festival
Dear Comrades, dear Friends,
We hope you are all doing well and life is good to you. Many of you have
been asking about the next edition of Memefest Festival and when it
will happen.
In the past months we have been very busy with our last bellowed book project InDEBTed to Intervene: http://www.memefest.org/
After its publication in January, the book took its own life and
it is exciting to see the developments. The responses to InDEBTed to
Intervene are great, coming from around the world and we are glad that
we can contribute to the global resistance with such an intervention.
Also- at the moment there are only 30 copies of the book left- in case
you are interested to get one.
We wanted to take time, so we can do things the way they have to be
done. The next edition of Memefest Festival of Socially Responsive
Communication and Art is happening later in the year and we are now
working on its conceptualisation. The theme will be announced in July
and the deadline for submissions will most likely be in October or
November. An international festival event with a symposium, workshops
and interventions is planned too- this time in beautiful Melbourne. How
exciting is that!
We will keep you posted on further developments. Also keep checking our web site www.memefest.org for news and updates and let us know if you want to get involved in any way.
