i'm amazed by everything and everyone that's coming to this festival. me and some friends applied a project and i will a find a way to put it up here sometime. the yes men, post-porn and all kinds of art-activist practices around. i don't know what's happening to rio de janeiro, but out of a sudden things are rising in that area, and it's so exciting. out ocupation, our democracia real claim and anticapitalist discussion in progress, is always crowded and mostly joyful, filled with music, projections and discussions. of course is quite of a challenge. i tried to sleep there one, but it turns out that sleeping early on a saturday in the middle of a square isn't such an easy thing to do. anyway, just found a brian holmes text in the website of the event i was saying before, and i like this affection-related politics. :) http://www.cpp.panoramafestival.com/affectivist-manifesto-brian-holmes/

nice:), that remembers me of ...
Danas, kada postajem pionir
Dajem časnu pionirsku reč:
Da ću marljivo učiti i raditi
I biti dobar drug;
Da ću voleti našu samoupravnu domovinu
Socijalističku Federativnu Republiku Jugoslaviju
Da ću razvijati bratstvo i jedinstvo
I ideje za koje se borio Tito;
Da ću ceniti sve ljude sveta
koji žele slobodu i mir!

so powerful that speech. i watched also pt. 2 and would have two comments to make (i did comment on youtube): for the 1st, WE NEED NO LEADERS ;) and for the 2nd, i didn't get that talk on religion or i don't really agree (he's christian, right?) but nevermind. the rest is, well, that's precisely it!

I just received a mail with an interesting Infographics displaying the activity on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare) during the riots of October 15th which took place in Rome.

The original text:
This short video displays the activity on social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare) during the riots of October 15th which took place in Rome during the local instance of the 15th October initiative created in the planetary process started by the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The peaks and contours you see represent the intensity of the communication and conversations that was taking place from the start of the protest (at 3pm local time) up until its approximate end (at 8pm local time). The animation shows the geo-referenced intensity of messages for each 30 minute time slot from the beginning to the end of the protest.

A '"other" event took place in the infosphere. Watching it, we can perceive a deep mutation: the intersection between public digital space and physical territory, the observability of our on-line activities and lives, but also the possibility to create new forms and tools for protest, collaboration, solidarity inspired and coherent with our mutated condition.
