Listen to Chris Hedges

I have been pointed to Chris Hedges through Brian Holmes, who writes on his blog:

"Chris Hedges, the former NY Times war correspondent who took a stand against the war in Iraq, knows more about what’s wrong with this country and is more articulate about it than any other person alive. "

When speaking about "this country" Holmes means America and is referring to the Occupy Wall street protests that started in NY and sparked a global fire of outrage, reflection, discussions, dialogue, collaboration, protest and above all a new level of self organisation and imagination that strongly articulates the end of the rule of finance, greed and exploitation.

I have been touched and moved when I watched the video of Chris Hedges filmed in New York on the streets of protest. He is someone we should really listen to and think about what he says. Besides this video, here is his wonderful lecture at The New School in New York.
