Memefest Radical Design Podcast is continuing, and we are inviting you to collaborate with us

Dear all,
We started the Memefest Podcast series as a way to further engage with our much-loved book Radical intimacies. The Podcast format offers us an opportunity to present our thinking and ideas to a wider and more diverse audience. Engaging in deep conversations gives us sometimes also an opportunity to develop our ideas even further.

After a few episodes we felt that there is a lot of potential in this medium and as our podcasts have been received well, we quickly thought that we might expand this beyond the Radical Intimacies episodes. It has been very enjoyable too to produce these episodes and to be in conversation with all these amazing people. It is nice to see that from our little pirate radio podcast studio in Melbourne we can communicate and broadcast globally in a way that resonates with people.

We feel there is a lot more to say and while we still have quite some material we would like to present in relation to our Radical Intimacies book, we want to look around and see who possible conversational partners in the future could be. The show is called Radical Design. The title corresponds with Memefest’s focus and while we used different descriptors of what we were interested in since we started in 2002, Radical Design fits, it says what we want to say. And more than this, the podcast is of course another way to investigate this area of knowledge and the possible praxis and develop it further. Obviously, that’s what’s needed, especially considering the state of our world and after twenty three years of Memefest we are still as passionate about this work as we were when we started.

So, here is our call: as an act of collaboration, we would like to ask you and invite you to send us any ideas for topics and to suggest to us names of people that you would like to see on our show in dialogue with us. Please write to us: memefest@memefest.org, we will be happy to hear from you.

Warmly, Oliver Vodeb
