Subfield description

My creative production interests a wide use of techniques such as installation, digital art, mixed medias paintings with a choice of subjects spreading from works with sociopolitical concerns to works with a more introspective approch. My works are characterized by an eccentric use of colours. The artist lights up his creative flair with any tools or objects on his hand, works of a very strong visual impact and out of the boundries of "style" of mass consumption art. I have exhibited either in Italy or abroad his native country with a preference towards unusual spaces outside the common and enlightened "temples" consecrated to the worship of art excellences. My perpetuating creative dialectic results in a constant research for innovative artistic results in matters of subjects and the ways they can be depicted. My worsks are featured on various magazine and web site such as Revolutionart Magazine, Players, The Villager Newspaper, Time Out New York, Reset Radio web site, Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Libero Pensiero, Chiaia magazine, Interartive, Artbookguy.

Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

The main theme of this project is the absurd treatments animals receive in the food industry. I watched the documentary "Food Inc." and I got really inspired and I am one step away from becoming a vegetarian. The food industry, like other business, are too much driven by profit and that's horrific especially because the food industry is contaminated by other industry like the agricultural industry and their bad seeds, fertilizer and toxic fodders. The food industry also expirement on animals...laboratory try to find the way to make the fattest and meaty animals through chemicals. That's why on the syringes in this project you will see written "flesh - blood" to express the human chemical made and the chemical human nature. It's a toxic abbatoir.
The concept is about an advertisement campaign. A company which breed, feed, kill, cuts and sells the meat from the animals. The idea of the corporation which uses always the same logo and the same colours to be recognized on the market. Same colours, same context, same scenario, same style. Also, I wanted to put more empashis on the language proper of sick advertisement campaigns which become oftenly bizzarre and use weird catchy rhymes, simple language which get stuck in our mind. So I went on with finding freaky catchwords and have a full series of same but not quite yet images about a company which makes prestige of its filth. It's a meat cheat!

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I have tried to use the bizarre language proper of contemporary advertisement. Lies!

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

I tried to make everything look a bit evil. I want people to become more careful about what they consume and how they consume it. I try to use sarcasm and a dodgy style of images to represent an evil identity, the evil identity of food corporations. I put a lot of emphasis on the treatments that animals receive, from chemicals to machine feeding tortures.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I learned a lot. I had to watch a lot of lectures and documentaries, it was scary, I imagined we were a mess but I didn't expect we were that bad. I am more concerned about where my food is from, who owns the company that produce that type of food and I pay a lot of attentions to their criminal records.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

I think it is good because it is simple, it is very visual of a strong sight impact and the written language I used is proper of advertisement and we are well trained to understand it without even pay a lot of attentions to it. Short effective written messages and eye catching images.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

I spam it on the net, anywhere I can. Some of the works were published on Revolutionart Magazine, their issue about animals. I would love to see them printed on poster and attached to billboards. I would love to see them spammed online and on metropolis billboards!

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

4 works from this project were published on Revolutionart Magazine, their issue about Animals.
Of course, I had a lot of positive feedback on social networks, especially from vegetarians.
