Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

There have encountered several studies during my research for this project. Fruits and vegetables are being mass produced wherein quantity beats quality to a significant level. Hazardous pesticides are used in production in order to minimize the wastage of plantation due to rotting and pests. Not to mention, genetical engineering to get the most out of every fruit. These chemicals seep into the food itself and in effect, people digest them. People need to be aware of such a significant issue. An orage is what they think they are ingesting, but in reality, they are also ingesting chemicals used in order to artificially grow products.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I drew digitally through Adobe Illustrator.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

I made my image as simple and as straight forward as as possible inorder for it to appeal to consumers quick glance and communicate the message of harmful chemicals easily. I believe that it can bring awareness to people and people can start thinking twice about buying and ingesting products they do not know how it is produced.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I have realized the world of capitalism has gone too far. Business teaches how to maximise benefits while minimizing costs. However, the greedy nature of businesses today show that reducing cost goes beyond the considerations of consumers and the values of health and life itself.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

It is simple and straightforward but had a profound and serious message embedded into it. I made the image minimalist in order to depict modern times as well wehrein mass production are peoples norm. Its minimalist vector image shows how what we perceive as an "orange" or food is actually inorganic and unnatural.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

My work can be used in social media as more and more people that do acqure massproduced food are increasinlgy active in such areas.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

No.
