Subfield description

Mostly, my work tends to deal with the existential crap that we all go through. It also tries to indulge with the fears and paranoid moments that we are unable to process or be okay with, and trying to articulate our fears is to me something quite overwhelming in itself.

Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

I find that the articulation or description of our fears is one of the most intimate, intense and difficult thing to do. In doing so, we find out about who we are even more so than who we are not. Also when we describe our fears, they become suddenly clearer to us and then ensues a dialogue on what can be done to "not be afraid" of "that" anymore. In affect we weigh what we chose to tell or communicate to the person we were telling this to. But do we do the same with a computer or a search engine? And would they answer how people would. This is to me a communication and dialogue of a set of solutions to something I think to be afraid or distressed about.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I was interested in taking the intonation of the search results of "what to do when..." in this case it was a search of fear of insects, bugs or ants. This however was also about my fear of losing control over my data, if it is bugged. The approach I used was pharisaic and derivative and it also tried to follow the mechanics of the point by point ways in which we can "overcome" our fears.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

I am not sure whether or not there is a concrete benefit to the society by means of what I make or exhibit but I would like to believe that if we paid more attention to the very ways in which we define our modes of communication or articulate our fears, we might be able to deal with a lot of existential creeps that we get, in society and in the social network that operates just or even more so than we do as societies.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

In creation of this work I grew closer to the belief that we might never be able to deal or overcome our fears but that didn't mean I was now even more insecure or distressed, it kind of made me certain of the fact that with being able to just tell what it was that threatens or overwhelms us, we gain a whole lot of control over that which is scary to us.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

A "good" communication work would for me outline the very problematic of communication. It would not be communicative just for being able to communicate or state a fact but would try to question this need to be able to state a fact "just as it is", the description of anything for me in its actuality or reality impossibility. The very achievement of a good communication piece would be if it reflects that in fact nothing really can be communicated with complete clarity or finality.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

I keep filming, editing, drawing on books and walls through coding, painting and sharing it with friends and bloggers and at even at screenings elsewhere than where I am "physically".

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

I am not sure if there has been an effect on other Media as of now.
