As the administrator of a campaign with a multi faceted social media presence this project resonated with me. Also the point which you address in the summary that pleasure has a direct correlation to capitalism which given its unsustainable and deeply unsatisfying nature has in turn direct effects upon the end user.
The exploration of pleasure exacting a cost because of its eurocentruc origin point is something I think is also worth exploring. Is it possible to decolonise pleasure?
Which was a point I further related too from my own perspective, which you further explored in the aspects of the proposal that explored good design and politics.
If the internet is a space we occupy, is it a safe space ? What happens to the internet and the security therein under a conservative government? Is this a contributing factor to the sense of malais experienced as a direct result of extensive participation in social media. How then do we manage the inevitable affects of social media excess?
The above factors and many elements that your project addressed form the basis of my personal capacity policy regarding comment reading. Which essentially is ; do it as infrequently as possible.
I enjoyed reading this project very much.
