Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

(Translation of dialogue)

WHAT?

YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ME. YOU CAN‘T DO LIKE THAT . THAT‘S NOT THE WAY TO SOLVE THINGS. COME BACK HERE TO TALK BETTER ABOUT THAT.

GEE...

MY GOD ...
WHY DON‘T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?

BUT I JUST WANNA TALK TO YOU

TO TALK? WHAT TO SAY? FRANKLY, DO YOU WANT TO DRIVE ME CRAZY?

NO. LISTEN TO ME. THAT WAS JUST A SLIP. THAT WAS NOTHING TO ME.

I WAS A SUCKER. I DID EVERYTHING FOR YOU. I DID EVERYTHING. I LOVED YOU AND YOU DIDN‘T RESPECT THAT. WE WERE SO HAPPY AND NOW IT'S OVER. IT'S ALL OVER
IT WILL END AT ALL!

BUT WE CAN STILL BE HAPPY. LET‘S STAY TOGETHER AND FORGET THE PAST.

I LOVE YOUR VOICE. I LOVE IT! BUT IT TURNED OUT. IT'S OVER.

DON‘T DO THAT. DON‘T DO THAT, BABY. I LOVE YOU. COME BACK HERE.
BABY
BABY ...
BABY?

Wings simply describes the power of love over lifes of those who keep it. Thus this project dialogues with the festival in order to portray the nuances and the possibilities of this human feeling.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

Portable media is one of the aspects that are responsible for democratizing access and audiovisual production, specially in southern countries where the art is still concentrated in the eyes of most favored. With no budget, Wings was recorded using a cell phone camera to visually explore characteristics that reinforce the character's confusion. A few characters were used in an attempt to approach the viewer to a real situation. The audio was added later, and plays the role of remean and emphasize the emotion of the scene.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

Wings is actually an additional example of the possibilities of a medium that has been spread in the audiovisual sector. This video was used as an example in a screenwriting workshop with portable media for public school children in Goiânia (Brazil). This activity generated others productions on portable media, and encouraged the participation of children who hardly ever have access to that kind of opportunity.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

Besides experiencing a new technical and aesthetical possibility, the directors of the short film Wings were forced to think and reformulate concepts and preconceptions about love and its consequences for physical and psychological aspects, by paying attention, in addition, to the unexplored narrative potential inspired by this feeling that moves men.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

Although it seeks innovative elements regarding the technical language, the video Wings talks about universal feelings in an audiovisual way, through resources that provides an identification between the video and its audience, which is represented in a simple way on the screen, with the additional possibility to represent themselves.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

Wings is actually an additional example of the possibilities of a medium that has been spread in the audiovisual sector. This video was used as an example in a screenwriting workshop with portable media for public school children in Goiânia (Brazil). This activity generated others productions on portable media, and encouraged the participation of children who hardly ever have access to that kind of opportunity.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)
