Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

I chose to approach debt in a way that made it easy to understand that even the most promising, well off and easy going person can fall into it. By using Disney characters I am able to play on the idea of a perfect world and demonstrate that there is in fact no such thing. That money is a power over everyone and no one is beyond paying their debts be they financial or otherwise.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

I use a very easy to understand and read visual communication with well known and recognisable characters and an element of humour.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

My communication allows a light hearted look onto a serious situation and lets the viewer look upon it happily while later on questioning and thinking about the situation portrayed and how it translates to real life. It generates thought and discussion.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

I learnt there are many types of debt that can effect people in many ways both gradually and quite suddenly.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

My communication is good because it is familiar and engaging to a broad range of people.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

It hangs as a four part poster or series of banners attached vertically to be hung wherever appropriate be it in windows or on the street.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

No.
