Description of idea

Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

the idea of the work is to offer an important concept to the viewers via those medias that compulsory farmland acquisition in China encroaches on farmers’ interest and the government should return the land to the farmers. In fact, the visual work is deemed as a socially responsive communication because that it has the characteristics of showing hidden relationship of power in society; participating actively in socialcultural processes; attention to its own effects of communication on society and culture with the purpose to communicate in a socially responsible manner; deconstructs in the communication processes with the purpose to establish a critical distance of the public to the communicator; and establishes dialogue and/or conditions for the dialogue.

What kind of communication approach do you use?

Billboard, Poster, Sticker

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

the visual assignment is to suggest that the compulsory land acquisition in China is harmful to farmers’ interests. Therefore, it is clear that the visual
assignment can provide benefits to society. In other word, it helps people gain an understanding of why the compulsory land acquisition in China should be banned and what negative impacts can be contributed by the compulsory land acquisition in China.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

From my own perspective, the practice not only improved my development skills of using Illustrator and Photoshop; but also provided an in-depth understanding of how to align the message and visualization.

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

The submitted work could be seen as clearly delivers my intention and idea; and the viewers may easily understand them as well.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

The work can be used in street public service advertising, book illustration and poster.

Did your intervention had an effect on other Media. If yes, describe the effect? (Has other media reported on it- how? Were you able to change other media with your work- how?)

Yes, also could use in the booklet and magazines.
