Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:

DEPT FOR NATURE SWAP

What kind of communication approach do you use?

My work for the assignment is a board game poster. Usually, when I think of a poster, it's approach is to deliver or communicate with audience. However, each person has a individual personalities and thoughts. The poster might successfully deliver to its target audience but it might be a failure to somebody else. It can be helped because each element or object has strong and weak points. I was thinking how my poster could deliver or take further than just delivering a message. Not only presenting a message to the audience but more impressive poster to the audience. My approach to audience is to be involved to the message by playing the board game. One of my achievements through this work is to make people to participate into my work and the message. I use direct approach to the audience because it is a poster which offers audience to play the board game.

What are in your opinion concrete benefits to the society because of your communication?

I choose my communication approach is participation. My concept of debt is 'dept for nature swap'. My opinion is pretty much lying on the nature which I believe first debt of all of us. The idea was inspired by the reading, which is David Greaber's. The whole reading was interesting; it investigates debt throughout our history. The reading uses example of each culture and country. It was an interesting because it goes through the history all the way down. In the reading there is a list of history about debt. On each time period, David explains characteristics of debt. For example, woman could be an interest for a man’s debt when they are married. Among David Greaber’s reading, the most interesting one is this timeline which starts from origin debt. I thought I could go before than the reading's timeline. Also, debt could be some other format not only among the people and more invisible, lyrically. My opinion concrete benefits to the society which can be achieved by participating. Caring about the nature which means caring ourselves.

What did you personally learn from creating your submitted work?

Why is your work, GOOD communication WORK?

I believe that I achieved what I wanted achieve through this work. I wanted audience to know about my topic which is debt for nature swap, and I wanted audience to play the board game. As I mentioned in question 1, posters can be ignored easily. I cannot just face away from that. However, one of my concepts is people to participate like playing this board game, but also participate to save the nature. I hope that my target audiences understand that without participation is nothing. For example, playing the board game would give a bit of knowledge of what is the debt for nature. I believe my work communicates well when it interacts with the audience. Fun, easy and gaining new information just like what I did through this assignment. Moreover, I wanted to make my work not only just a poster. Delivering a message and communicate with audience but at the same time I wanted to my poster do more extra work not just delivering a message or communicate with the audience. This is also one of my intention and aim for my work. Poster could be an instant wall paper, but by designing my poster as a board game. I believe that my work could stay and communicate longer with the audience.

Where and how do you intent do implement your work?

I intent to implement my target audience to understand concept of debt. However, not only about debt that we own to somebody else. Also implements for debt for nature swap and environment. Even though the reading and assignment was about ‘debt’, I found out that my opinion and message lies on the nature quite a lot more that the debt. However, the basic concept is the debt because the message is about debt that we own to the nature. Even though my intention for the work is delivering a message and communicating with the audience, I hope that my work to implement for both of usage. When it comes to a poster, I want it to deliver a message and communicate with the audience. Moreover, when it delivers and communicates, I want it to be a link between two which is the main idea of the poster and the viewer. To help target audience understand debt for nature swap which is my concept of poster. After finishing the communication with the audience, the poster will lead the audience to play the board game. This is the second approach to the audience which will help the audience to participate and make a impact on the audience as well. When the memory of playing the board game remains the idea of debt for nature swap will remain together. My intention for the board game function is to make a memory of joy for the audience while they are gaining the message of the poster.
